Nice day. Time to write.

Had a wonderful walk in the woods today with my good friend... I'm on borrowed time and felt the need to jot something down ( got this blog for a reason). But I have been pondering what to start out with. Stray ramblings work, but mostly just for me. I did remark that today was such that it would be nice to be a bird and fly here and fly there just to see it all or maybe just to cram it all into that fleeting feeling a warm fall day issues out . I recon so. Yeah, Ill start out with Possum Trails. Has nothing to do with the wonderful day today, and it is old, written in the bounce-about-flux of time when all seemed possible and sarcastic at the same. But before Possum Trails can be written (for I must find where the copy of it is) I must set the stage with these two...

Possum Prance

we drink
we drug
we feel so smug
we roam the roads at nite
'cause if by chance a possums' pranced
we kill it on the spot.

Pre Possum Trails

see the possum race
will the radials win again?
some have mirth
some disgust
a few: blood lust
but for the carrion eaters
happiness.

I shall look for it now.

I am so happy to see your first blog post here! And to start with these two enchanting possum poems? Wonderful! Believe me, my blog is entirely about stray ramblings. And it feels good to purge and publish! Believe me, it is an outlet that I am so grateful for! Looking forward to seeing Possum Trails up on your blog. It has been too long since my last read.

Cheers,
B.

Well it seems like I hit a jackpot, the fact that I love poetry, helps me love your little young blog already!

I liked the Possum Prance, just over a month ago I had to look up what a possum was, but now I know and the humour within the poem is just great!

Rambles work for everyone, including me, and every other blogger in the blogging universe, so please feel free to ramble as much as you like.

Personal things always attract people, especially if there are problems involved. Readers seem to love looking through somebody's else's dirty sheets.

Please keep up the good work and I shall be back! (More poetry in particular...)
